The ICRCA has been built from the decade plus-long project of hosting the International Crisis and Risk Communication Conference, creating the first dedicated journal of crisis and risk communication research, and emphasizing building bridges between scholars and practitioners. Our mission is to provide spaces (online and face-to-face) for risk and crisis communication experts from academia and practice to share their experiences, research, and network.
