It was great to see so many friends and colleagues representing institutions in Europe, North America, and Asia and from every continent this week at Crisis 7 hosted by the University of Gothenburg! One of the major themes emerging from this year’s conference was the importance of bridging the gaps between scholars and practitioners in risk and crisis communication. Over the last decade plus, we have been working to do exactly that and we are really excited that our conference series has now let us form the International Crisis and Risk Communication Association and create an official partnership with the Crisis and Risk Communication Division of ECREA.
