Dr. Deanna D. Sellnow is professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at Clemson University. Dr. Sellnow’s research focuses on strategic instructional communication in a variety of contexts including risk, crisis, health, and online settings.

Timothy Sellnow
Immediate Past President, ICRCA
Dr. Timothy L. Sellnow is a professor in the Department of Communication at Clemson Unviersity. Dr. Sellnow’s research focuses on bioterrorism, pre-crisis planning, and strategic communication for risk management and mitigation in organizational and health settings.

Joel iverson

Dr. Joel Iverson is Professor at the University of Montana in organizational communication, focusing on communicative constitution of organizations (CCO), structuration, crisis, risk, and communities of practice theory.

bengt Johansson
President Elect, ICRCA
Dr. Bengt Johansson is a Professor in the Department of Journalism, Media, and Communication at the University of Gothenburg. Dr. Johnansson’s research focuses on various aspects of media, power and democracy. This is mainly done within the field of crisis and risk communication and political communication.

Dr. Audra Diers-Lawson is a Professor of Risk and Crisis Communication and Director of the Risk Communication, Community Engagement, and Infodemic Management WHO Collaboration Centre at Kristiania University of Applied Sciences.

Dr. Albena Björck is a senior lecturer and researcher at the ZHAW School of Management and Law. Her research focuses on the intersection of strategic management and communication in times of change, crisis, and renewal.

Olivier Champagne-Poirier
2-year Board Member
Dr. Olivier Champagne-Poirier is a Professor in the Department of Communication at the Université de Sherbrooke. He specializes in qualitative research and works on numerous projects related to COVID-19 and various natural and industrial disasters.

Florian Meissner

Dr. Florian Meissner is a Professor at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences. He is the former Chair of the ECREA Risk and Crisis Communication Division and is presently the Chair of the COST Action Alert Hub.

Andrew Pyle
2-year Board Member
Dr. Andrew S. Pyle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication. He completed his PhD in Communication at George Mason University, and his MA in Applied Communication from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His research focuses on the intersection of crisis communication and intercultural communication. He is also interested in the ways that organizations employ social media to manage crisis communication.
